Severe storms causing wind damage in southern Missouri

Severe storms are yielding numerous reports of wind damage this afternoon in southeast Missouri. Several trees have been reported down, including one that tore the awning off a house in Walnut Grove. One barn has had its roof blown and two others have been destroyed near Pleasant Hope and northwest of Springfield a siding panels were blown through a trailer and the trailer was blown over. Wind gusts have been estimated as high as 75 miles-an-hour.
