Mizzou-Kentucky kick off set–SEC Quick Hits (VIDEO)

October 16, 2012 By Bill Pollock

Mizzou’s kick with Kentucky on Homecoming will be 11 a.m. The game will be shown on ESPNU. SEC’s Oct 27 schedule.

ESPN names Lawrence and Richardson as Mizzou’s midseason MVPs. At 3-4 and not much to cheer about, I’d agree with the choices.

Tennessee fans voice their frustration on a rock.

The Tennessee Rock

Tennessee’s iconic rock is there for students to express their feelings and following the Vols’ 41-31 loss to Mississippi State and an 0-3 start in the SEC, the message was clear. The read “FIRE FOOLEY” with his overall record, his record against ranked opponents, the SEC teams he has yet to beat, are among the things painted. The Rock has since been covered up. Tennessee plays #1 Alabama and #7 South Carolina the next two weeks.

Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray apologized for a tweet he sent following the loss to Mississippi State. He tweeted: “We’ve got some bandwagon fans. Hopefully my apt. Isn’t egged.” Bray issued an apology, but not before his first comment went viral. “Just want to apologize for my tweet last night. Was just frustrated after the tough loss. Sorry VOL nation.”

How Florida basketball is looking to gain an edge.  Here’s a video I found.  It’s a little lengthy, but I especially like the first couple of minutes.  Florida players explaining how just a few plays or possessions can send a team to the Final Four or NIT.
