October 9, 2012 By Mary Furness

An Englishman raising money for breast cancer awareness has finished a one-thousand-and-four-mile swim down the Missouri River, from Chamberlin, South Dakota to St. Louis.  Dave Cornthwaite began the swim on August 10th in order to raise about 150-thousand dollars for the breast cancer charity CoppaFeel, founded by a friend of his who was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 23.
