Brookfield man safe after day-long journey

October 1, 2012 By Mike Lear

A Brookfield man has been found safe in Hartford, Illinois after being missing for most of a day.

KWIX in Moberly reports 78-year-old Francis Mosely left Brookfield for Mendon Saturday afternoon but never arrived at his destination. A Mercer County deputy met Mosely near the Iowa border that evening and gave him directions back to Brookfield, but Mosely wasn’t seen again until Sunday when he was found in Illinois.

Authorities say he suffers from diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease.
