A former vice-president of the Joplin Chamber of Commerce has pleaded guilty to stealing money from the city’s Boomtown Days Festival and has paid back $40,000 dollars. A judge has put Kim Lester on five years’ probation and told her she has to do 75 hours of community service work and attend counseling sessions. She says she used some of her money to feed her gambling addiction.
