A U.S. Department of Education officials are in St. Louis today to talk about the importance of community partnerships, education reform, college affordability and completion, and how education equals jobs.

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan says education is the key to a vibrant middle class, strong national security and our global economic competitiveness.

The tour is focusing on struggling, low-income schools. Members of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri and the Fathers’ Service Center are part of that discussion.
