“I don’t want to tip-toe the lines of anything that’s happened with bounties or anything like that, but they were definitely going after me. They made it a point, obviously, all week to hit me. Some of the shots were cheap of that nature,” that’s what Robert Griffin III said this week after the Redskins lost to the St. Louis Rams.

Griffin was only sacked once, but was hit numerous times and he said Rams defensive players told him they were going to hit him every play.

“They were doing a lot of dirty things. I still think they have an extremely good team, that doesn’t take anything away from them, but the game was unprofessional. Who am I to talk? I’ve barely been a pro for very long, but from what I experienced against the Saints compared to that game, it was definitely unprofessional and it does need to be cleaned up.”

Dirty play or trash talking? For RG3 to says the Rams weren’t as professional as the Saints (whose coach is suspended for a year for not stopping a bounty program), really says a lot. Or does it? I think RG3 has one thing right. He’s played two NFL games. He needs to keep quiet, go about his work and know that because he is a dual threat quarterback, teams will be going out there to hit him hard.
