Carlos Beltran’s pinch hit, two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning broke a 3-3 tie and Jason Motte struck out the side in the ninth to complete a three game sweep of the Houston Astros, 5-4 Thursday afternoon at Busch Stadium.
Allen Craig gave Jaime Garcia, the winning pitcher, a three-run lead in the first with his 22nd homer off Astros starter Bud Norris who allowed five runs. Craig has 89 RBIs on the year.
