The Minnesota Twins scored single runs in the eighth, ninth and 10th innings to rally for a 4-3 win over the Royals. Salvador Perez singled in two runs and extended his hitting streak to 17 games and Billy Butler gave the Royals a 3-1 lead in the fifth with his 25th double and 92nd RBI of the season.

After scoring a run in the eighth on a bases loaded walk, the Twins, down 3-2 in the ninth, got a solo home run from Trevor Plouffe off Greg Holland to tie the game. It was Holland’s third blown save. It was the Twins second homer of the night. Josh Willingham hit his 34th earlier to cut the Royals lead to 2-1.

In the bottom of the tenth, Denard Span hit a game-ending RBI double to seal the comeback and snap the Royals three game winning streak.
