Lee’s Summit woman charged with murder also accused of forging father’s ‘do not resuscitate’ form

September 11, 2012 By Jessica Machetta

A Lee’s Summit lawyer is charged with forging her father’s name on a “do not resuscitate” form and delivering it to a Boonville hospital where her father was being treated for gunshot wounds. Her father died four days later.
The indictment against Susan Elizabeth Van Note charges her with first-degree murder and forgery. Her father had been shot at his Sunrise Beach home. Her father’s companion, Sharon Dickson, had been shot to death in the same incident.
Two other people also are charged in the incident.
