Brady Quinn and Ricky Stanzi talked about the decision by Romeo Crennel to name Quinn the number two quarterback behind Matt Cassel. After Friday’s game at Green Bay, the Chiefs will need to cut 20 players to get down to the mandatory 53 players on Friday.

QB Brady Quinn on being named the No. 2 quarterback:
“Regardless of what that title is, we’re preparing for the season. Everyone is just trying to get better every day, especially after the past couple of weeks. We’d like to get a win underneath our belts up there in Green Bay. That’s really the biggest thing on my mind.”

QB Ricky Stanzi on his reaction to Quinn being named No. 2 quarterback:
“My reaction is whatever spot the coaches want me at on this team, it’s my job to do that role to help out the rest of the team. We have a great quarterback room. We learn from each other. We learn from Coach (Brian) Daboll; we learn from Coach (Jim) Zorn. That’s our focus as a group, to try to do what we can to help our team and keep our room playing at a high level.”

Watch for the Chiefs to try to eliminate turnovers, which have hurt the team in a couple games.  They want to be able to execute the offense.  Starting quarterback Matt Cassel doesn’t expect to play much, but wants to be productive.  “I think it’s important for us to go out there and execute. If one guy is not doing their job when it comes to offense, it’s hard to be successful on a consistent basis. The things that we’re trying to do is get everybody working together and be consistent, and that means everybody doing their job on every play.”
