A Chicago fan leaps over the railing into the fountains to retrieve a home run ball.

What is it with Chicago White Sox fans getting arrested when their team plays the Royals? First, we had the incident in Chicago almost ten years ago, when two fans jumped out onto the field to beat up Royals first base coach Tom Gamboa. Now, a fan leaps into the fountains at Kauffman Stadium to retrieve Adam Dunn’s 400th career home run. The fan didn’t the get ball and got arrested.

The official policy from the Royals website states, “Fountains: If at any time a fan enters a fountain, they will be immediately arrested, transported to the police station downtown and charged to the fullest extent of the law.”
