Charges pending in Southern Missouri baby’s death

August 7, 2012 By Mike Lear

Wright County authorities say the death of a baby found Friday in the south-central Missouri town of Norwood has been ruled suspicious.

The boyfriend of six-month-old Greyson Cork’s mother called 911 Friday morning and said the baby was not breathing. Paramedics were unable to revive him. The Sheriff’s Department says there were signs of trauma on the child.

Authorities says they expect to move forward with criminal charges after the final medical results on the baby’s cause of death are available, which could take up to a month.
