The Cardinals got outstanding starting pitching this weekend as they completed their first three game sweep of Milwaukee in the newest Busch Stadium, after Sunday’s 3-0 win . The Cardinals celebrated the 30 year anniversary of the 1982 World Series team.

After Adam Wainwright’s complete game on Saturday, Kyle Lohse followed up Sunday night, allowing just four hits and three walks while striking out six before turning it over to the bullpen. Lohse is now 12-2 with an ERA of 2.79.

Daniel Descalso, Allen Craig and David Freese picked up RBIs. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Milwaukee is the first major-league team to lose its first nine road games immediately following an All-Star break since the Royals in 2002.
