Rain dampens northern half of Missouri; heat advisory remains in effect

July 26, 2012 By Jessica Machetta

Rain showers are moving across the northern part of the state, but it’s not a significant amount. The National Weather Service is showing some small scattered systems moving in from the Northeast and dropping about a half an inch of rain. The forcast says some of these thunderstorms could be heavy at times.

A heat advisory remains in effect though the temperature is dropping somewhat. Highs today are expected to be in the 90s, cooling slightly from the triple digit readings felt throughout the state in recent weeks.
