Los Angeles Angels pinch hitter Kendrys Morales singled in three runs with the bases loaded, breaking a 3-3 tie and handing the Royals a 6-3 loss Monday night in Anaheim. It is a rare sight in baseball to see a batter collect three RBIs on a single base hit.

The rally started with two outs when former Royal Alberto Callaspo, singled against reliever Greg Holland (4-3). Maicer Izturis bounced a double over the head of first baseman Eric Hosmer, leaving runners on second and third. Holland then walked Peter Bourjos, a .223 hitter, who flew around the bases to score on Morales single to right-center.

Interesting game stat: Angels rookie Mike Trout extended his franchise-record streak to 15 consecutive games with a run scored, three shy of the AL mark set by Red Rolfe of the Yankees in 1939 and matched by Kenny Lofton of the Indians in 2000. The 20-year-old is the first player to score a run in 15 straight games since current Cardinals star Matt Holliday did it with Colorado in 2008.
