For the fifth consecutive year, Missouri State will be represented in the All-Star game of the nation’s most prestigious collegiate baseball league. Salem Mo. native Grant Gordon has been named to the East Division roster for the 2012 Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game scheduled for this Saturday. Gordon, who went 6-3 for the Bears this past season in helping them reach NCAA regionals, is 1-0 with 0.50 ERA. He has 26 strikeouts in 18 innings and has allowed just one earned run.

A reliever for the Harwich Mariners, Gordon has been nearly unhittable this summer, sporting a 1-0 record and 0.50 earned run average in 12 appearances for the East Division leaders. The right-hander has posted 26 strikeouts versus just four walks over 18.0 innings, allowing just one earned run altogether.
