St. Louis Rams defensive end Robert Quinn, was arrested on July 10 in Florissant, MO for a DWI and two other traffic charges. According to KSDK.com, Quinn posted bond and was released from jail that same night. Quinn was the Rams’ first-round draft pick in 2011, selected 14th overall out of North Carolina.

Quinn finished his rookie season third on the team in total sacks. Quinn missed a year of college football due to a suspension when the NCAA found him guilty of accepting $5,642 in benefits, mainly jewelry and travel accommodations from an agent.

The St. Louis Rams released a statement early Thursday afternoon.  “The Rams and the NFL office are aware of the situation regarding Robert Quinn. We take such matters very seriously, and we will act accordingly once the legal process plays out.”
