Despite starting the season on the DL, and missing additional time during the season, Cardinals outfielder Allen Craig has still been posting All-Star quality numbers. Craig played in his 40th game Monday night and hit two home runs and drove in three as the Cardinals crushed the Colorado Rockies 9-3.

Craig has 13 homers and 43 RBIs, despite missing half of the season. Matt Holliday continued his hot hitting, going 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Holliday’s average is .311. Carlos Beltran added to his team leading in RBIs, by picking up two more. He now has 63 on the season.

Former Central Missouri Mules pitcher Josh Outman threw five of his first 10 pitches in the dirt, and finished with two wild pitches and more balls (36) than strikes (34) in just three innings for Colorado. Outman, who also played at suburban St. Louis’ Lindbergh High School, gave up two runs and matched his career high with five walks.
