In a conference call yesterday, Nixon told reporters that he did support parts of the Affordable Care Act, but not the individual mandate.

Nixon says he does not support the federal government telling people they have to have insurance. But, he says there are good parts of the Affordable Care Act that move the state forward, such as the fact that people cannot be dropped by their insurance company during cancer treatment, for instance, as well as the pre-existing condition clause.
