Billy Butler hit his 13th homer of the season in the first inning and that is all that Luke Hochevar and two relievers would need as the Royals beat the Houston Astros 2-0 Tuesday night.

Hochevar picked up his first winning decision since May 12th, by going 7.2 innings allowing five hits and four walks while striking out six. Aaron Crow pitched to a batter in the eighth and Jonathan Broxton closed out his 15th save by pitching the ninth.

Hochevar also picked up his first major league hit. It came in the second inning on a two-out single.
