NBA notes: MU’s English on the move, Snyder out as coaching candidate

June 19, 2012 By Bill Pollock

Less than ten days out from the NBA draft and former Mizzou star Kim English is making a mad dash across the country visiting with propsective employers for next season. When it’s all said and done, English will have personal interviews and workouts with nearly half of the NBA teams, which is a great sign he will be selected in of the two draft rounds.  English met with team reps in Brooklyn, Philly, Detroit, Chicago, Toronto, Memphis, Utah and Portland and more teams are on his schedule.  The NBA draft is set for June 28.

Last week it was reported that former Mizzou coach Quinn Snyder was one of two finalists for the Charlotte Bobcats head coaching job along with Brian Shaw. That team hase decided to go with St. John’s assistant coach Mike Dunlap, who reappeared after being on their initial list of ten final candidates.
