Snakes, chameleon stolen from St. Louis aquarium

At large are five snakes and a cricket-eating chameleon — all taken from the St. Louis City Museum’s World Aquarium.

The Museum says construction work is underway at the aquarium and contractors are suspected in the theft.

The missing critters include a six-foot red-tail albino boa constrictor and the chameleon, which is trained to eat crickets out of people’s hands. The missing snakes are not considered to be dangerous
