Nasheed likely to get dropped from ballot

June 14, 2012 By Mary Furness

The State Supreme Court has been asked to decide if State Representative Jimilah Nasheed can run for election in the 5th Senate District in St. Louis. The Missouri Court of Appeal’s Eastern District said yesterday she cannot.

Nasheed does not live in the district she wants run in due to redistricting.

She had filed to run against encumbent senator Robin Wright-Jones in the Aug. 7 primary.
