June 14, 2012 By Mary Furness

A medical helicopter company will move its headquarters from West Plains to St. Charles County and take 120 of its employees.

Air Evan Lifeteam will reduce its employees in West Plains from 600 to 450. The 120 people it will move have been offered their current positions in the new location. Air Evac plans to hire 70 more people in O’Fallon. Thirty positions will also be moved from West Plains to Texas and 45 will move to West Plains from Houston, Mo., where the company’s office will close.

Air Evac operates air ambulances from 100 bases in 15 states.
