Down 2-1 entering the eighth inning, the Cardinals bullpen gave up two homers as the game got away Tuesday night at Busch Stadium with the Chicago White Sox pulling away for a 6-1 win.

A.J. Pierzynski and Adam Dunn homered off Mark Rzepczynski and Mitchell Boggs respectively to put the game out of reach, but it was the Cardinals inability to generate offense against rookie starter Jose Quintana that continues to be an area for concern. Quintana allowed 10 hits in just 5.1 innings, but the Cardinals managed just one run on an RBI single from Allen Craig

Adam Wainwright took the loss. He allowed two runs in the second inning, giving up five hits while striking out seven. Orlando Hudson tripled in two runs in that inning. Wainwright falls to 5-7 on the season.
