Pevely to cut fluoride from water supply

June 11, 2012 By admin

The  City of Pevely has decided it can no longer afford to put fluoride in its drinking water supply.  The change will save the city $8,000 to $10,000 a year. Pevely is in eastern Missouri’s Jefferson County. It has about 5400 people and a city budget of $5.6-million.  The city administrator hopes fluoride can be added back when the town’s economy improves.
