A government audit says one of Missouri’s biggest hospitals has paid more than $725,000 back to Medicare.The audit says Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis overbilled or did not have adequate controls to prevent overbilling for dozens of cases. The hospital has bought new billing software since the audit.
