Stl Superintendent who pled guilty to tax fraud;dies

May 15, 2012 By admin

Former St. Louis Riverview Gardens school superintendent Henry Williams has died.  He was 70.  Williams headed the school district for five years before he was removed after a St. Louis Post-Dispatch investigation showed he had directed tens of thousands of dollars to his own purposes.  He later pleaded guilty to theft and tax fraud. Williams still owed about $300,000 in unpaid taxes and interest when he died.
