Salmonella traced to Missouri-based dog food company

Two more people and now 16 have become sick from Salmonella after handling tainted dog food from Diamond Pet Foods based in Central Missouri’s town of Meta. The dog food was made in a Gaston, South Carolina plan. People have been reported infected by the illness in Missouri, Alabama, Connecticut, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio and Virginia. The company has announced four rounds of recalls over the past month. The dog food is sold under several brand names.
