KC shelter overrun with animals

May 12, 2012 By admin

Kansas City animal shelters are overwhelmed with animals. The Kansas City Pet Project says it took in nearly 200 animals this week. A shelter spokeswoman says the facility can handle about 200 animals total, and right now they are housing close to 500. She says euthanizing many of them is their only choice if the animals aren’t adopted.
