MSHSAA moving baseball to five classifications

May 8, 2012 By Bill Pollock

Missouri State High School Activities Association member schools voted to move baseball to a five-class sport next season, up from the current four-class system. The measure received close to 75% approval and only needed two-thirds of the support from member schools.

MSHSAA will release the classification breakdowns in December. The state playoffs are later this month at Meador Park in Springfield. Next Year, the baseball finals move to T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O’Fallon.
