Gov. Nixon pleased with budget vote

April 25, 2012 By Mary Furness

Governor Nixon says he’s pleased with last night’s vote by the Missouri Senate to restore full funding for the state’s health care program for blind Missourians.

He says Senator Jim Lembke’s amendment means the state will continue to provide the program — as it has for decades — to help blind Missourians with very limited financial means.

Nixon says he continues to urge the Legislature to send him a budget that maintains full funding for this vital lifeline.
