Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri) wants public documents to be available “in plain English.” She’s introduced a bill that would require those who write federal regulations to use language that is clear, concise and organized.
She says the bill is a simple way to get rid of government jargon, make democracy more transparent and hold government officials accountable.
