Northwest Missouri State board of regents down to five members after Loch resigns

April 23, 2012 By Jessica Machetta

The Northwest Missouri State University board of regents has been left with barely enough members to have a quorum with the resignation of board member Bill Loch. His departure leaves the eight-member board with only five members. Loch’s term ran out in January but he has not been re-appointed and no successor has been appointed and confirmed by the senate.

Gov. Jay Nixon tried to fill one of the vacancies earlier this year but Maryville State Senator Brad Lager blocked confirmation because it would have meant three members of the board would be from Maryville.
