St. Charles woman charged with abuse and assault on foster child

April 11, 2012 By Jessica Machetta

A St. Charles county woman has been charged with child abuse and assault three years after a foster child almost died in her care.

Court records indicate the boy, then an infant, suffered a severe head injuries and multiple fractures when he was flown to a hospital in 2009, only a few weeks after he suffered a broken arm in the care of Terri Lynn Cronin. The boy has since been adopted by his great-aunt. Cronin and her husband gave up their state foster parents license in the fall of 2009.
