A federal judge is considering whether the Express Scripts $29 billion buyout of one of its biggest competitors violates antitrust laws. Express Scripts is based in St. Louis County. The lawsuit had been filed by independent pharmacies as well as the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, and the National Community Pharmacists Association. The judge has not indicated when she will rule.
