US Senator Clair Mc Caskill is now requesting names of agency officials who received bonuses while under investigation by the GSA’s Inspector General as well as the size of those bonuses. Mc Caskill’s request comes on the heels of a detailed report  filed earlier this month by the Inspector General which showed shocking abuse of taxpayer money by the Government Services Administration.  The reports were on a GSA conference held in Las Vegas last year and showed that GSA’s spending was “excessive and wastefu”l. They also showed the GSA used government purchase cards to buy more than $430,000 on iPods, digital cameras and gift cards for employees as part of the “Hats Off ” employee incentive program which was in violation of contracting regulations.
