Former South East Mo. Sheriff to be sentenced for possessing and selling stolen firearms.

April 4, 2012 By admin

A former South-East Missouri sheriff will be sentenced in July for illegally dealing in firearms. Former Carter County Sheriff Tommy Adams has pleaded guilty to charges of possessing stolen firearms, one charge of selling a stolen firearm and a charge of being a drug-user possessing a firearm. The federal prosecutor says Adams and a deputy kept firearms seized during a raid on a house. The former deputy Steffanie Kearbey is due in court next week.
