Top high school wrestler leaving for Nebraska

The South County Mail in Rogersville reports that Joe Zimmer, a two-time Missouri state wrestling champion in Class 2 for Logan-Rogersville, has committed to Nebraska over in-state Mizzou, Standford, Army and Navy.

Zimmer went undefeated his junior and senior seasons, tallying a 95-0 record while winning titles at 189 and 195 pounds. Zimmer has a career record of 180-15 and won at least 40 matches in each of his freshman and sophomore seasons, wrestling at 145 and 161 respectively.

Zimmer was also recruited to play football by Missouri State.
