KC Bishop faces charge for not reporting suspected child abuse

March 28, 2012 By admin

The lawyer for Kansas City Bishop Robert Finn argue that he should not be charged with failing to report suspected child abuse by a priest because he’s not the mandated reporter for the diocese. A judge says he’ll rule by the end of next week on whether Bishop should continue facing the misdemeanor charge. The case against Finn is based on 17 child pornographycharges filed against priest Shawn Ratigan, who has pleaded not guilty but is still in jail.
