Frank Martin, new South Carolina basketball coach

March 27, 2012 By Bill Pollock

Frank Martin introduced as South Carolina's new basketball coach

The Missouri Tigers will see a familiar face in the SEC next basketball season. South Carolina has announced Frank Martin as their next basketball coach Tuesday in Columbia, South Carolina. According to various reports, Martin’s deal will pay him close to two million dollars per season and run five or six years in length.

The former Kansas State coach is replacing Darrin Horn, who was fired after four seasons at USC. Last year the Gamecocks won just 10 games and finished 2-14 in the SEC, their worst conference record in school history.
