Big 12 coach expected to be heading to the SEC

March 26, 2012 By Bill Pollock

South Carolina’s board of trustees have scheduled a meeting for Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM to discuss a “contractural matter.”  The matter is believed to concern Frank Martin, the Kansas State coach, who was chosen last Friday by athletic director Eric Hyman to replace Darrin Horn as USC’s basketball coach. Martin’s agent confirmed to a reporter Monday that there have been discussions with USC.

A news conference to officially introduce Martin as USC’s coach likely will be scheduled for Tuesday.  Martin will once again be matched up with Mizzou after the Tigers switch to the SEC on July 1.
