Lee’s Summit students return to school after posting offensive comments on blog

March 23, 2012 By admin

A federal judge has ordered the Lee’s Summit school district to let a couple of high school juniors return to their regular classes.  The school district had suspended them for 180 days because of what the district said were insensitive and offensive comments posted on a blog site they had created.  They’ll be back in regular classes April 9th.  During their suspensions they had been attending an alternate school but their parents say the classes there are not rewarding.
