There’s a new boss in Kansas City

March 16, 2012 By Bill Pollock

That new boss in town is tight end Kevin Boss, who was signed by the Chiefs on Thursday to a three-year, $9 million contract. Boss, who played four seasons for the Giants and with the Raiders last season, joins former Cleveland running back Peyton Hillis as the Chiefs’ recent free-agent signings.  Boss is 28 and caught 28 passes and three touchdowns last year, in his only season in Oakland, before being released by the Raiders. With the Giants, he caught 119 passes.  Boss should provide some insurance for Tony Moeaki, who missed all of last year because of a knee injury.

The Chiefs also met with former San Diego running back Mike Tolbert and former Texans right tackle Eric Winston is in Kansas City today.
