Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright faced 10 batters and allowed one hit and one walk while striking out one and getting a double play in his three innings of work Wednesday against the Mets. Wainwright has now pitched five innings this spring without allowing a run. The Cardinals got the bats working early scoring two in the first on a homer from David Freese. It was his first of the spring. Yadier Molina led off the second inning with his first long ball to help the Cardinals jump out to a 7-1 and eventual final. Carlos Beltran went 1 for 4 against his former team and is hitting .273 this spring.
