Confetti flies as the Tigers learn they are a no. 2 seed

The Big 12 champion Missouri Tigers grabbed a #2 seed, but didn’t get the Midwest Regional they were hoping for. Instead the Tigers will be heading west to Omaha for their first game against Norfolk St with their eyes on Phoenix, Arizona. A win over Norfolk St will lead to a game against #7 Florida or #10 Virginia.

Michigan State was awarded the #1 seed in the West after their win over Ohio State to win the Big Ten conference championship. North Carolina, Syracuse and Kentucky were the other #1 seeds with the Wildcats being awarded the overall top seed.

NCAA bracket

Rick Majerus is taking his Saint Louis Billikens to the NCAA tournament and were selected as a #9 seed. They will play Memphis with the winner taking on Michigan State.
The NCAA committee was impressed with Missouri’s 30 wins, but cited a weak non-conference strength of schedule as a reason they dropped to a #2 seed.
