Senate map still under scrutiny; public hearings continue

The citizens panel that has drawn the latest map of state senate districts is finishing hearing public testimony on its proposal before deciding whether to stick with it or make changes. A federal lawsuit already has been filed against it. Seven of the ten members of the bipartisan commission have to approve the map before its final. They’ll vote on Monday.
