Royals walk off with win over Rangers

March 6, 2012 By Bill Pollock

Kevin Kouzmanoff’s two-run double in the ninth inning lifted the Royals to a 7-6 walk-off victory over the Texas Rangers. Alex Gordon also drove in two runs with his first homer of the spring.

The Royals loaded the bases with three walks, but rookie Wil Myers rapped into a 5-2 double play that left runners at first and second with two out. Kouzmanoff batted for Jarrod Dyson and hit a 2-0 pitch into the left-center field gap, scoring Mike Moustakas and Myers to end the game.
