A Jackson County jury says Ford does not owe anything to a man severely burned in a traffic crash nine years ago. Michael Nolte and his family had asked for $46 million in punitive damages. Nolte was sitting with a highway patrolman in the trooper’s car after a traffic stop when another vehicle rammed the patrol car from the rear, causing the fire. The trooper’s family had settled out of court earlier.
